Full Job Description

Are you a compassionate and visible leader keen to lead a service towards high quality care delivery?

You will be a dynamic, motivated, and creative clinical leader who will drive forward and sustain improvements and changes to patient care. You will play an important role in leading and coordinating the quality improvement needs of the service, taking into account the strategic aims and objectives of the area and the Trust., The post holder will work with the Head of Nursing and AHPs in partnership with the Clinical Nurse Manager and other senior colleagues to monitor, challenge and improve the quality of patient care within Secure Care and Offender Health services. You will need a sound knowledge of the national legislation regarding infection prevention and control, The Mental Health Act, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, and reducing restrictive practice. You will be able to demonstrate an extensive knowledge in maintaining and improving clinical standards. You will maintain an oversight of staffing skill mix, environmental issues, and other aspects of compliance. There is also an expectation to work flexibly across the shifts as needed to support the service and an expectation to be part of the Trust wide On Call Rota.
The post holder will embrace multi-disciplinary working and work as a key member of the clinic Senior Leadership Team, you will also be required to represent the service at divisional and Trust forums and meetings.

As part of our safe recruitment practice pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. As part of the selection process you may be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, however all cases of criminal record history are dealt with on a case by case basis.
Please note, if applicable for your role you will be required to cover the cost of your DBS certificate. This will be deducted from your salary over 3 months. You will also be required to sign up to the DBS Update Service before commencement with the Trust.
All successful applicants will be required to complete the Trust's induction programme. The Fundamental (Statutory and Mandatory) training will be in an e-learning format. You will be required to complete training modules online (approx. 9-14 hours depending on post) by the end of your first week with us.

If applicable to your role, the Trust will require you to sign up for the DBS Update Service. The subscription will cost you £13 a year but the Trust will reimburse this. You will be contractually obliged to maintain your subscription.
