Bench Joiner - Supervisor

Victor Manufacturing are seeking an experienced, proactive, flexible and reliable individual to join our joinery and contracts specials team in the role of Bench Joiner - Working Supervisor.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the supervision of the joinery department to ensure the joinery and solid surface works for our bespoke counter systems and standard products are manufactured on time and to the highest of quality standards.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Supervising and working alongside the joinery department, to ensure work is carried out on time, safely, cost effective and to the highest of standards.


• Carrying out installations of bespoke counter systems and special products across the UK when required.


• Supervising effectively and proactively the staff in your department to ensure the prioritisation of workloads, maintenance of quality standards, safe systems of working and identifying any training needs.


• Attending the 7:30am manufacturing meetings, fully prepared and contributing where required, to ensure deadlines are met.


• Liaising with the estimating and purchasing departments for material requisitions.


• Ensuring all Health and Safety protocols and procedures are adhered to at all times including safe systems of work, correct use of PPE, maintenance of equipment and the reporting of accidents and near misses.


• Seeking continuous individual and departmental improvements
  
  In addition to joinery and supervisory experience, the successful candidate must be hardworking, knowledgeable, have good interpersonal and communication skills and be committed to seeking continuous departmental improvements.
