Bristol Operations Supervisor / Rider

As dual Operations Supervisor and Courier, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and timely delivery of packages to our valued customers, while representing our partners brand through excellent customer service.

The purpose of the role is to support the Operations Managers in organising the hub day-to-day, ensuring that service standards are maintained, achieving operational efficiency targets, and following policies and Health & Safety procedures. Along with leading by example and regularly undertaking zero emissions delivery shifts as a courier on the road.

You will be providing an exceptional quality of service to our customers and our customers' customers.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting the Hub management to manage staff and couriers, including service quality, time management, training, performance monitoring, uniform compliance, addressing employee issues, and providing mentorship and support.


• Managing bookings in Zedify's delivery management systems, ensuring timely deliveries with proper evidence, maintaining Health and Safety standards, completing necessary reporting, facility maintenance, SOP communication, identifying improvements, and actively participating in efficient operations


• When Hub Management is unavailable, approve timesheets by verifying rider check-in/out times, break inclusion, and downtime. Ensure accurate rota systems and update sick/annual leave in Deputy, highlighting any necessary information to finance.


• Responding to communications from clients on parcels status and liaising with riders to ensure that parcels are delivered where possible.


• Work with all staff to promote promotions, raise Zedify brand awareness and report any feedback to the relevant department (Sales, Marketing).


• Maintaining high ethical standards, adhering to company policies, and actively fostering a safe and dynamic work environment


• When on a courier round: route planning, checking vehicle safety and loading in the most efficient and safe manner, navigating safely and expediently to destinations and using our delivery software to record task completions and collection of evidence
