Full Job Description
As a care support worker, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and person-cantered care to individuals in need. You will assist with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure the well-being and safety of clients. Your role may involve working with individuals in their homes, residential care facilities, or healthcare settings.,
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring proper techniques and equipment are used to prevent injury.
- Support individuals with medication administration, following prescribed guidelines and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding, adhering to dietary requirements and restrictions.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities and provide companionship to promote social interaction and emotional well-being.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' physical, mental, or emotional condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Follow care plans and individualized support plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, including proper infection control practices and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and family members to coordinate and enhance the care and support provided.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client information, observations, and any incidents that occur.
High school diploma or equivalent qualification. - Should have completed Care Certificate Training Courses - 15 Standards - CPDUK Accredited
- Previous experience in a similar role or relevant healthcare setting is preferred.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to support and care for others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations and infection control practices.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform lifting and manual handling tasks as required.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and obtain relevant certifications or clearances as required by local regulations.
- Must drive and should have own car to commute to work.
