Full Job Description

We are currently looking to expand our permanent cleaning team at Sprowston Community Academy. If you are enthusiastic, friendly, self-motivated and conscientious and would like to join our estates team as a cleaner then please read on. We are seeking individuals who will take responsibility for ensuring the school building and facilities are clean, tidy and well maintained to a high standard at all times. Duties include polishing, emptying bins, cleaning floors and ensuring dispensers and cleaning consumables are replenished and available. Successful applicants are likely to be approachable, professional and reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a busy team.

The hours for this post will be 15 hours per week, term time plus 4 weeks

  • worked Monday - Friday 3.30pm - 6.30pm. (Please note holiday working is arranged with some flexibility to suit both employee and business needs)

    This Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations, therefore successful candidates will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether disqualified under these regulations. Applicants must be prepared to undertake an Enhanced DBS check and attend a Warner Interview. Right to Work in the UK will need to be established. If applicable the following will be required: a certificate of good conduct, for teaching posts, a letter of professional standing from the professional regulating authority in the country in which the applicant has worked.We are an equal opportunities employer.
