Full Job Description

The Clerk to the YCT Board will be responsible for all aspects of the Board's administration. With the exception of attendance at Board meetings the Clerk's work can either be carried out remotely or within YCT House.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. In conjunction with Chair of the Board and YCT's Office Manager prepare and distribute

Agendas and Papers for YCT Board Meetings by email.

2. Attend Board and Working Group meetings, take minutes and distribute to members by email

3. Ensure all copies of all Board documentation are stored and accessible to Board Members

4. Maintain a record of Management Board Members' interests.

5. Circulate relevant documents by email.

6. In conjunction with relevant YCT staff ensure that returns are sent in a timely manner to the

Charities Commission and Companies House.

7. Where appropriate take part in recruitment and selection of candidates for YCT posts.

Please note this role is for 9 hours per month only

Clerk to the Board

Salary £29, 602 pro rata; £15.18per hour

Location Based at YCT House Harlow, with occasional working from home

Responsible and

Accountable to Chair of the Board

Hours of work 9 hours per month working flexibly according to workload, mostly at home, but attending Board Meetings on Zoom and YCT House approx. 9 times a year (6.30pm - 9.00pm on a Wednesday). A self-employment arrangement will be considered if that is preferable to an applicant.

Annual leave 25 days per annum (pro rata) plus one day for each complete year worked to a maximum of five days, exclusive of public holidays (pro rata). Leave year runs from 1st April - 31st March.

Pension A contributory pension scheme operates.
