Full Job Description

You will be helping define and shape the Cloud Engineering capability of xDesign. As a Cloud Architect, you're someone who is confident in consulting and helping clients find the best possible solution - with that "right tool for the job" mindset.

We strive to create the best product possible with everyone's effort, and you'll be an integral part of that mission. Your role in the team is highly valued, and you'll be a key player in ensuring the success of our projects.

The wider Engineering team at xDesign drive forward technology strategies, they also contribute to planning sessions and help to map out delivery roadmaps.

  • What you'll be doing:

  • Support our clients in adopting Cloud, develop cloud strategies and drive best practices.

  • Provide advice and guidance to your team and clients on Cloud technologies. Be able to design and support the delivery of Cloud solutions.

  • Be able to act as an advocate of cloud adoption.

  • Create documentation that allows the clients/team to understand what the vision is and support its implementation.

  • Being an advocate for Cloud best practices and Governance.

  • Desire to both learn, up-skill and always be learning new technologies as Cloud Platforms change/new services are added.

  • Able to assist teams in building standard solutions we can offer our clients.

  • Designing and implement "bigger picture" thinking at all times., We have a transparent progression framework, so you have ownership of your future career at xDesign. We have an Engineering Presenters session every fortnight where engineers present a technical topic to their peers.     Demonstrable experience of architecting and developing cloud platforms.

  • Knowledge of Cloud best practices, cost optimisation, governance and strategy.

  • Design and architect and deliver solutions meeting client requirements.

  • Design with security in mind. Develop practices to support security by design.

  • Enthusiastic and experienced in using engineering best practices

  • Demonstrate you understand the wider picture and can design systems that are performant, secure and cost effective.

  • Design architecture in the cloud ensuring costs are controlled and understand the benefits of cost optimisation
