Full Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Digital Project Manager to play a pivotal role in our team, managing all digital projects through the agency process, building on the existing functionality of our successful Cortex product designed for our diverse client base. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from functional enhancement/development identification/client request, through project documentation, resource planning, testing, launch and beyond, ensuring that our solutions meet our high standards and client expectations.
Reporting into the Operations Director you will need to be a self-starter, capable of working in a fast-paced environment and have a good attention to detail. You will need to be good at prioritising multiple demands and dealing with a wide variety of responsibilities; from dealing with client requests, to managing your team, to being responsible for the profitable delivery of projects and contributing to the future development of Cortex.
You will have the ability to think creatively and be able to work collaboratively to find the most effective way of getting the job done. Above all we are looking for someone who wants a high degree of autonomy, a positive can-do attitude and has a good track record of delivery.

Whilst this job description provides an overview of the main requirements of this role, it is expected all staff undertake any other reasonable activities to help our business succeed., Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding product development projects, gathering and prioritising their requirements and ensuring their needs are met.
Team Leadership: Inspire and manage a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  • Lead our Delivery team, ensuring effective, efficient and commercially robust operations and ways of working

  • Be responsible for Project Management, ensuring we deliver the highest levels of service and satisfaction for all Clients

  • Line manage all members of the Delivery team, coaching and motivating them to successfully perform their job roles and ongoing objectives

  • Collaboratively with Ops Director, oversee all internal production processes, systems and workflows ensuring they operate as well as possible and identifying opportunities to optimise

  • Work with other Team Leads to ensure all parts of the business are following documented processes

  • Ensure smooth operation of our scheduling and traffic processes

  • Monitor tickets, estimate as needed, outside of agreed Client license fees and assign to relevant team members

  • Manage development jobs through the entire process, responsible for creating proposals, detailed scopes, estimates and timing plans

  • Lead weekly Delivery team meetings

  • Provide early identification of any upcoming challenges for the delivery of work. Be alert to all types of risks across resourcing, scope creep/change, quality control, 3rd party relationships, project dependencies and broader commercial considerations. Work with relevant colleagues to find solutions and mitigate any negative impact

  • Have a detailed understanding of our core scheduling, project and information systems (JIRA in paticular) ensuring accurate reporting and efficient operations

    Extensive experience (5+ years) of working in an Agency environment with a deep and detailed understanding of all processes required to run a service-based business

  • Bring people together to form a motivated team. Understand team dynamics, lead by example and empower them to deliver and collaborate successfully

  • Highly organised and comfortable with managing multiple tasks

  • A problem-solving mindset

  • Effective line manager with the ability to coach, lead and develop team members

  • Experience of working with operational, project management, resourcing and reporting software

  • An understanding of Agile, Waterfall and Lean processes

  • Ability to build productive and respectful relationships with all colleagues, across all disciplines and seniority

  • An ability to see the 'bigger picture' to define and improve complex processes

  • Excellent project management and delivery skills

  • Great communication skills; written, verbal, presentation

  • Ability to analyse, understand and interpret management information

  • Very strong commercial awareness and acumen
