Join our dynamic team as we seek two experienced Employee Relations Specialists to make a significant impact in fostering a positive working environment and ensuring strong employee relations within our organisation. In this role you will report to the Employee Relations and Wellbeing Manager and will support the team in providing quality employee relations and employment law advice to internal customers on a wide range of issues from disciplinaries and grievances, to flexible working and absence management. You will coach our line managers to develop solutions to their employee relations challenges and work on specific HR projects and policy development.

You will also be an advocate for colleague health and wellbeing and will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of our Wellbeing Plan

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Interpreting and applying Group policies, procedures, and employment legislation to provide accurate and timely advice to managers and colleagues, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and best practice.

Building leadership and management capability through the provision of coaching and positive challenge.

Working closely with the wider HR team and line managers to support the organisation's overall strategic goals.

Take ownership of all ER and wellbeing responsibilities for your designated area, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Working in collaboration with the HR Business Partnering Team and the Resourcing Team to interpret and analyse data to identify trends, offer solutions and support the business in decision making and address any areas of risk. This includes wellbeing survey data, colleague experience surveys, sickness absence and turnover.

Provide guidance and mentorship to the Employee Relations Assistants

Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to deliver HR related projects

Previous experience working at a HR Advisor or HR Officer level in a generalist capacity

Proven experience of managing employee relations casework, supporting organisational change (e.g. restructures) and working with managers to improve employee engagement

CIPD level 5 qualified or equivalent experience

Up to date knowledge of UK employment legislation and the ability to apply this in practice

Ability to work on your own initiative and make decisions without close supervision

A strong communicator who can build effective and collaborative working relationships with colleagues at all levels

Able to coach managers at all levels to develop their management capability

Confident and able to conduct difficult and sensitive conversations with a range of colleagues

Proven experience in the planning and delivery of TUPE

Experience of supporting trade/construction industries or a mobile work force would be advantageous

While this role is home based, you should have the ability to travel to Group offices and other locations to undertake home visits as required. Our Group offices are located at Birmingham Business Park Solihull and Central Park, Worcester., Disability Confident
