Full Job Description

As our Event Coordinator you'll have the responsibility for coordinating the catering for a range of events across Yorkshire. Whilst you will have your own portfolio of weddings to manage, you will be a key part of our operations team, including assisting in the day to day completion of tasks business has.

The role is very hands-on and involves working as part of a team.

You'll typically work on the following kinds of event:

  • Weddings;

  • Private Parties

  • exhibitions and fairs;

  • promotions and product launches.


  • Responsibilities
  • Manage clients catering details on the lead up to their event

  • produce detailed action plans for events (for example, menu options, timelines, venues details)

  • coordinate the team on event days, handle event set-ups and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly.

  • manage a team of serving staff, giving full briefings before service

  • oversee the dismantling of the preparation area with the kitchen team and ensure the removal of all our businesses inventory and clear the venue efficiently;

  • work alongside the sales team to promote the business through social media and open days

  • To work operationally and pack for all events with the operations team

    Minimum 2 years event coordinator experience

  • Competitive Salary £24,000 - £26,000 per annum depending on experience.

  • 31 Days Holiday a Year (WE DO NOT WORK CHRISTMAS EVE / DAY / BOXING DAY)

  • Sundays and Mondays are usual days off. There are no split shifts.

  • Our typical working week is Tuesday - Saturday with events mainly taking place on Fridays / Saturdays.

  • Tuesday - Fridays are mainly 09.30 - 17.30 (late appointments once a week if required - done on a rota system / Saturdays being a longer day.)

  • There are some Sunday events planned but these are alternated between the team.

  • We are looking to implement a 4 day week in Off Peak Season

  • You'll generally work normal office hours in the lead up to an event which is usually Tuesday - Friday. However, on event days you will need to be prepared to work extra hours, including evenings and weekends. Our working week usually runs Tuesday to Saturday with Sundays and Mondays off. However, there are a few occasions where you will be required to work a Sunday but these are planned well in advance.

    Full time - 40 / 45 hours a week over 5 days
  • Although the work is largely office based, you'll need to travel to visit clients, partners, sponsors, venues and other suppliers. You may need to work outside to plan and deliver the event, e.g. an outdoors wedding or concert.
