Full Job Description

We are a family run independent car dealership with the majority of our current work coming from the preparation of our used vehicles. We currently have a 2 ramp workshop with 1 technician. We are looking to grow our workshop with more technicians and more ramps.,

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on vehicles.

  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on vehicles.

  • Test and inspect components to ensure they are in working order.

  • Replace faulty parts and components.

  • Carry out repairs in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.

  • Keep accurate records of work carried out on vehicles.

  • Provide advice to customers on vehicle maintenance.

    The role requires you to be able to carry out all mechanical work on vehicles including timing belts, clutches, engine replacements, wiring, electrical diagnostics, mechanical diagnostics, tyres etc., Hold a full, clean UK driving license.

  • Are over the age of 25 years old (due to insurance)

  • Have at least 5 years recent mechanical experience.

  • Are able to work on your own confidently and use your initiative

  • Are self-motivated, driven and passionate.

  • Have your own tools

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing and repairing vehicles in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components, as well as the ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues. A commitment to safety and customer service is essential for this position.
