Full Job Description

The Junior Finance Assistant will be responsible for the following:

  • Process purchase ledger invoices and credit notes

  • Reconciliation of supplier statements

  • Identify, investigate and reconcile sales and purchase ledger variances

  • Process staff expenses

  • Process company credit card transactions

  • Invoice finance updating

  • Process bank payment transactions and receipts

  • Filing

  • Answering the accounts telephone and responding to queries

  • Liasing with other departments to resolve queries

  • Assisting the Management Accountant with any ad hoc tasks

  • When required assist with sales ordering and invoice processing

  • When required assist with debtor invoice and statement distribution; and debtor chasing

    The successful applicant needs to be able to work on their own initiative and manage workload after initial training. This would suit somebody who is self-motivated, very organised and has great attention to detail., Qualified to AAT Level 2

  • Sage Line 50 experience (minimum 2 years)

  • Bookkeeping: 2 years, Ensure high levels of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Experience with both sales and purchase ledger tasks

  • Deadline driven

  • Good excel knowledge

  • Able to communicate with customers, suppliers and senior management

  • Good numerical skills

    £27,000 - £30,000 a year - Temp to perm, Full-time, Temporary contract, The Package
  • £13 per hour - working hours 37.5 hours Monday to Friday
