Full Job Description
We are seeking a skilled pre-hospital care Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating individuals on first aid techniques and procedures on the FREC 3/4, Immediate Life Support and Medical Gasses courses in line with awarding body requirements. You will be delivering training to our clients at their venues across the south of England.
Duties:
- Conduct first-aid training sessions for groups or individuals
- Demonstrate proper first aid techniques and procedures
- Provide clear and concise instructions during training sessions
- Assess and evaluate participants' understanding and skills
- Create engaging and interactive training materials
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey first-aid information
- Strong leadership abilities to guide and instruct participants
- Proficiency in English language for clear communication
- Ability to present information in an organized and engaging manner
- Strong organisational skills to manage training materials and sessions effectively
- In-depth knowledge of first-aid procedures and techniques
- Ability to educate and engage participants during training sessions
- Proficiency in behaviour management techniques
- Basic IT skills to utilise technology during training sessions
Qualifications: Candidates need to have one of the below
- Current registration as a Doctor with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Current registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and have suitable pre-hospital care experience
- Current registration as a Paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- QA Level 5 Diploma in First Response Emergency and Urgent Care (RQF)
- Qualsafe Level 5 Diploma in First Response Emergency and Urgent Care (RQF)
- Institute of Health and Care Development (IHCD) Ambulance Aid (Ambulance Technician)
- Level 4 Diploma for Associate Ambulance Practitioners (QCF or RQF), A CPD portfolio providing a summary of recent work within the last 2 years and a range of activities to demonstrate how prehospital care skills and knowledge have been kept up to date., Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
- First aid training: 1 year (preferred)
- L3 First Aid at work qualification (or equivalent) (required)
