Head Veterinary Nurse

The Head Registered Veterinary Nurse plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of our practice. You will lead a team of RVNs, providing guidance, support, and leadership. We are looking for someone who is flexible, reliable, and works well within a team. This role requires a proactive and positive approach to driving the business forward, while also fostering a cohesive and supportive work environment.,

• Provide strong leadership and support to the nursing team.


• Coordinate the daily activities of the nursing staff, ensuring high-quality care and efficient operations.


• Engage in a range of nursing duties, including inpatient care, theatre work, and consultations.


• Encourage and promote professional development among the nursing team.


• Participate in practice management meetings and contribute to the development of the practice.


• Ensure compliance with RCVS standards and assist in the ongoing effort to achieve hospital status.


• Participate in the weekend and bank holiday rota (1 in 5 Saturdays and Sundays, currently 1 in 7), with no night on-call duties.
  
  Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification.


• At least 1 year of experience as a veterinary nurse.


• Strong leadership and team-building skills.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• A positive attitude and enthusiasm for the role., Bachelor's (preferred), Veterinary experience: 4 years (preferred)
