Full Job Description

The Role: We are looking for flexible volunteers to assist in the support and running of various activities for refugees and asylum seekers in our hubs and ad-hoc properties setup. This could include welcoming people, supporting with art groups, games, group walks, and opportunities to bring new ideas to the table. Not only will you be engaging our clients through activities, but you will also support Julian House to empower clients, to increase confidence and self-belief to lead an independent life.,

  • Be a friendly face to welcome clients into the Julian House hubs.

  • Help set up and coordinate activities for clients, and think creatively about new activities which could be brought to the space.

  • Help with language skills development through conversation practice.

  • Collaborate with Julian House staff and volunteers to create a safe and warming environment.

  • Assisting Julian House team with property set-ups, curating a warm and welcoming home for new arrival families

    Experience in working with vulnerable individuals.

  • Knowledge of refugee and asylum system.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

  • 121 support and training is provided.

  • DBS is required.
