Kitchen Assistant

As a Kitchen Assistant at the Holiday Inn South Normanton you will be part of a passionate team that takes pride in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

• Operating and cleaning a large commercial dishwasher


• Temperature checking of food deliveries


• Checking in deliveries and putting away


• Correct storage of all food deliveries


• Sweeping & mopping floors


• Emptying waste bins


• Cleaning and sanitising work areas to the required standard


• Deep cleaning of equipment, food preparation areas, fridges and freezers


• Maintaining a standard expected of a four star hotel kitchen


Ensuring the highest standard of hygiene & cleanliness to ensure safe food preparation, by adhering to the Hotels Health & Safety and Food Policies

Days and hours to suit the business including weekends and bank holidays, we operate a rota system so flexibility is a must

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, have an eye for detail, be able to use their own initiative and work on their own, have the ability to work under pressure with a positive can do attitude and like cleaning

Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate would be advantageous

Meals on duty, uniform and a range of other staff benefits are offered
