Lead Electrical Engineer

The Accessories Engineering team at JLR Fen End is looking for an Electrical Engineer to be part of the organisation. Come and join us to coordinate the design, development, testing and introduction of new features within the accessory electrical team.

As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be leading and supporting delivery of innovative accessory features across the JLR product portfolio. You will be overseeing the design, development, testing and implementation of new features within the accessory electrical team with the support of Engineers across functional areas like Marketing, Design, Core Engineering, Programme and Finance to develop innovative solutions in a diverse project landscape.

This is fantastic opportunity to lead end to end deliver of JLR accessory products.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

· Provide specific technical expertise for projects, and input into the planning and deployment of specific modern technologies, systems, tools.

· Develop & deliver consistent and efficient accessory products to cost, weight and PSW targets.

· Support the development of features and designs for future vehicle solutions.

· Use complicated models to evaluate the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of modern technologies.

· Keep up with current and developing engineering trends.

· Coach young engineers and give technical help and guidance as needed.

· Strong Technical background electrical or electro-mechanical within automotive, aerospace or defence.

· Previous experience of delivering and developing Electrical products & new commodity through a cross-functional team.

· Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and Vector Tools.

· Knowledge of FMA tools and processes

· Experience of defining and resolving engineering problems through Quality tools & processes.
