Softcat's L&D team sits within a wider HR department consisting of HR Operations, HR Business Partners, Reward, Recruitment, Diversity & Inclusion and Employee Engagement. The purpose of the L&D team is to enable Softcat's success through learning by inspiring a culture of curiosity, growth and continuous development. Support the development of our people

As a Learning and Development Executive, you will be a key member of the L&D team, working closely with our employees through a variety of L&D programmes and initiatives to ensure they can be more productive, efficient, and confident in whatever role they play at Softcat

You'll be responsible for:

  • Understand L&D requirements:

  • + Collaborate with line manager to enhance L&D offerings across departments.
    + Gather feedback and understand development needs from stakeholders.
    + Assist in managing external training requests, adhering to guidelines.
  • Evolve existing offerings:

  • + Support administration and design of L&D programs.
    + Foster relationships with external providers to align training with Softcat standards.
    + Enhance training content for an engaging learning experience.
  • Training delivery:

  • + Confidently deliver training, adapting for various learning styles.
    + Conduct coaching sessions for teams and assist in facilitating onboarding.

  • Demonstrated experience in Learning and Development roles, fostering mindset shifts.

  • Adaptable, results-driven, and proactive in dynamic environments.

  • Excellent communication skills for diverse stakeholder relationships.

  • Proficiency in delivering engaging learning experiences across formats.

  • Analytical problem-solving and effective solution proposal skills.

  • Detail-oriented and organized, adept at managing multiple projects and deadlines independently or collaboratively.

  • Hybrid working - a mixture of working from home and in the office

  • Working flexible hours - flexing the times you start and finish during the day

  • Flexibility around school pick up and drop offs

  • We are able to consider this role on a part time (4 days per week) basis

  • Some travel will be required to other offices (around once or twice a month)
