Full Job Description

Due to service development an opportunity has arisen within the ophthalmology service, for an additional Ophthalmic Technician to join our team, this post is 37.5 hours worked over a fixed pattern week; some early evening clinics/weekend clinics may be required. You will work as part of our friendly multidisciplinary team., This role supports the diagnostic delivery of ophthalmology services and includes but not exclusive to : Automated perimetry ; ophthalmic imaging including anterior and posterior segment; biometry and corneal topography

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a wide range of technical support services which will include working in visual field clinics and providing support to our ophthalmic photography services in the ophthalmic imaging unit, as well as providing biometry support to our cataract service. Previous experience of working in a health environment would be advantageous, previous experience in the field of ophthalmology is required.
