Full Job Description

Veterinary Instrumentation have been at the forefront of the animal healthcare community for over three decades. With a portfolio of over 5,000 comprehensive Surgical and Orthopaedic Instrumentation, Joint Surgery and Fracture Fixation products to select from, the range allows Practices and users to consolidate and drive value from their clinical service through one reputable source.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the promotions and sales of Vi's products across the UK sales territories and supporting selected UK veterinary practices, working closely with the UK Territory Account Managers, Sales Manager (UK) and Commercial Manager. This office based outbound sales and support role will help plan for and drive sales across the UK Veterinary market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contacting customers directly and daily to build relationships and drive sales of Vi's products and services across a broad database of UK practices.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including acquiring new customers and expanding our existing customer base.

  • Achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth by actively promoting products and services.

  • Conduct outbound sales and support calls and emails to generate leads, qualify prospects, and convert them into customers.

  • Work in collaboration with the Sales Manager (UK) and UK TAMs to generate effective customer engagement plans.

  • Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions to meet their requirements and utilise CRM tools to document all interactions and information.

  • Proactively follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.

  • Follow up on leads generated from shows, exhibitions, and CPD events in a timely fashion.

  • Work in collaboration with the TAMs to generate and organise customer meetings for the TAMs with customers on their territories.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement sales campaigns, product promotions, and other sales initiatives.

  • Provide regular sales reports and updates to the Sales Manager (UK)

  • Follow strict administrative processes to ensure that all sales and subsequent invoicing etc. is processed in a timely and accurate manner. You will be expected to keep the CRM and ERP updated as required.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our product portfolio.

  • Undertake any other tasks as reasonably requested by Vi's Management Team.

    A good understanding of the Veterinary Environment would be advantageous. Sales experience is desired.

  • Proven ability to meet targets. Knowledge of customer management.


  • Education:
  • Educated to a minimum of GCSE / Standard Grade Level, RVN would be a real advantage


  • Specialised Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal and telephone communication skills.

  • Must be flexible in approach and have excellent organisational skills.

  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy essential.

  • Must be highly motivated with a proven track record in a sales environment.

  • Commercial awareness and experience of working with others within a close-knit professional environment.

  • Be fully adept with Microsoft office applications. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
