Full Job Description

As the Programme Director for Finance Transformation you will provide strategic and operational leadership for this critically important programme for LV=. The role has significant visibility from the Executive Team and Board.

In this role you will be responsible for the ongoing design and delivery of the Programme, ensuring that it operates in line with agreed plans and budgets. You will have accountability for the design of future phases of the programme to ensure the ultimate goals of the transformation programme are achieved.

You will influence Finance Executive members in the ongoing development of the Target Operating Model and change agenda for Finance, associated Finance targets and portfolio of change initiatives required to drive delivery.,

  • You will be accountable for the design and delivery of the Finance Transformation Programme. Work with Finance Executive and broader LV= Executives to confirm business priorities and funding required for current and future years.

  • Accountable for ensuring appropriate governance arrangements for Finance Transformation in line with LV= Change policy.

  • You will be responsible for leading and developing effective and motivated project teams - made up of Finance Change team, LV= SMEs, contractors and consulting support as required.

  • You will be accountable for delivering the Target Operating Model for Finance, including any cost targets.

  • You will work closely with the business change and CIO teams to advise on the Finance impact and support requirements. This will includes representing Finance on major Programme steering groups.

  • You will perform resource demand and capacity planning across Finance change activity, working with resource managers in other teams across Finance and broader business.

  • You will provide regular status reporting and proactive management, plus escalation, of delivery risks and issues, as appropriate.

  • You will ensure high quality, accurate reporting to key stakeholders, including the CFO, Executive Team and Audit Committee

    You possess a proven track record of designing and delivering large scale Finance Transformation and Change within Financial Services

  • You have experience of managing large annual project budgets

  • You are an excellent communicator with experience of influencing at board and senior executive level

  • You have proven analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems and structure appropriate solutions

  • You have excellent organisational skills to deliver accurate work under pressure against agreed deadlines, while remaining approachable

  • You have hands on experience and capability with a wide range of change disciplines, including Organisational Design and developing Target Operating Models. Experience of managing Regulatory Change (e.g. Solvency II, IFRS requirements), Data & Systems delivery, Actuarial model and reporting, Process Improvement and Controls experience is desirable.

    This role is a Band D in the LV= Structure.
