Full Job Description

  • Implementing & continuously improving the Quality & Safety System.


  • Development & maintenance of the Company Quality System policies & procedures


  • Maintaining the independence of the quality department/s ensuring compliance with EASA and UK CAA Regulations


  • Maintaining present knowledge of EASA and UK CAA Part 145 and Part 21, Subpart G & J and SMS Risk based management


  • Day to day admin and control of the Quality Department


  • Admin of Company manuals in respect of all bases


  • Negotiating with the CAA, EASA, FAA and other airworthiness authorities on behalf of the Company


  • Maintaining and management of the Company MOE, POE and QMS


  • Conducting investigations, compliance and preparing reports on quality, technical and maintenance issues as required to show compliance with regulations as appropriate


  • Work with appointed Company Health and Safety consultants and ensure Policy is adhered to in the areas of responsibility


  • Audit review of aircraft documentation and work packs


  • Accomplishing such other duties as may be reasonably directed by the Accountable Manager & Directors


  • Projecting the Company image and promoting the Company interests to customers and potential customers


  • Management of the Company Quality Audit programmes


  • Monitoring of service providers and suppliers to ensure the required standards are being met


  • Liaison with departmental managers concerning the correction of any deficiencies highlighted through the Quality System


  • Acting as a focal point for all communication in respect to quality and certification matters


  • Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring that they are met


  • Look at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency

    Ideally, we require a candidate that has aviation experience and in particular Component Repair and Manufacture., Experience in aircraft component repair & component manufacturing workshops


  • Experience in management and quality control / quality assurance activities of aircraft maintenance and repair organisations


  • Successful completion of a Quality System Course e.g. Auditor/Lead Auditor course advantageous.


  • Thorough knowledge of International and National Civil Aviation legislation, EASA, FAA, CAA Ability to prioritise and handle pressure


  • Conform to part 145, EASA 21 Sub Part G & J


  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office packages including Sharepoint.


  • Ideally from an interior component manufacturing background., Quality assurance: 2 years (preferred)
