An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recruitment Coordinator - Early Careers to join our team on a 12-month FTC.

This role is working as part of the Operations team within Recruitment team who are part of the wider People and Culture team. The team provides all the permanent recruitment support to National Grid

The Operations team in Recruitment team are a team of five led by the Operations Leader, supports the wider team with administration.

The purpose of the coordinator role is to provide ongoing and dynamic support to the Early Careers recruitment team, this includes scheduling interviews, managing RTW checks, triaging requests from the shared mailboxes as well as assisting with other admin duties such as, raising new vendor, Purchase Orders.

What You'll Do

  • Manage multiple inboxes with a 24hr SLA (internal and external)

  • Engaging with candidates via phone and email

  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders including recruitment partners and candidates to organise interviews.

  • Create interview packs, schedules, confirmation emails and calendar invitations for Hiring Managers

  • Confirming car parking for candidates

  • Manage right to work checks for news hires through Experian portal.

  • Work with the People Services team pre-employment queries and onboarding queries

  • Help prepare candidates for interview by providing timely information, documents and instruction as well as following up with them before their interview to add value to the candidate experience.

  • Schedule Interviews through MyHub and confirming scheduled with interview panels and recruitment partner.

  • Daily interaction with hiring mangers including scheduling items into their diaries, requiring excellent attention to detail and a "right first time" mindset

  • Using initiative to problem solve and be agile with business change including availability, expectations, and processes.

  • Assist with the creation of processes and SOPs to help shape and influence the processes used and the varying levels of support offered by the team.

  • Attend weekly TA Operations meeting, update the team on current capacity levels, work to date and process improvements.

  • Being aware of, starting conversations about and always ensuring compliance with GDPR legislation.

  • Use the ATS system Success factors / MyHub to process candidates through the resourcing journey including interview scheduling, regretting, and general system admin.

  • Manage candidates post offer queries for recruitment partners.

  • Managing New Vendor requests, raising Purchase Orders

  • Facilitate and manage candidate attendance to assessment centres across the UK.

  • Manage career events - research and booking, liaising with local schools for NG visits, sourcing interest for and then sending calendar invites to volunteers.

  • Process candidate expenses

  • Give candidates feedback upon request.

  • Engage with business coordinators.

  • Manage daily tasks using excel spreadsheets.

  • Book rooms for assessment centre/hospitality requests/car parking

  • Posting job vacancies on university websites and job boards

  • Ensure new starters have met qualification requirements - having sight of certificates/RTW/POA

    Attention to detail and organisation skills.

  • Understanding the importance, the role has around data management.

  • Proficient customer service and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience working within a large corporation and using an ATS or similar HR system is beneficial

    A competitive salary of £31,000 - £34,000 per annum dependent on capability and experience.
