Full Job Description

The post-holder will contribute to the NIHR-funded AIR SAFETY study, which will develop an Artificial Intelligence air Safety Tool (AISaT). AISaT is computer software that guides users on how to best reduce airborne infection risks in hospitals, using cheap solutions like air filters. The team will investigate whether AISaT works and offers value for money. The team will also develop guidance on how to use AISaT across the NHS. The post-holder will be mainly involved in the process evaluation of the implementation of AISaT but might also contribute to other work packages.

Masters degree in anthropology, psychology, global health, public health, social science or equivalent experience
Experience of conducting research using qualitative research.
The post holder must have experience of designing and implementing process evaluations.

The Rapid Research Evaluation and Appraisal Lab (RREAL) The purpose of RREAL is to improve the quality and impact of rapid research used to study and evaluate clinical and health service models and interventions for time-sensitive contexts. Projects at RREAL are organised according to three main workstreams: 1) RREAL training and development programme: a training programme for academic researchers, healthcare professionals and other practitioners and develop a virtual learning community for alumni, 2) Advisory role in rapid research, evaluation and appraisal methods (REAM): RREAL provides guidance and supervision in the use of rapid research approaches through collaborations in grant applications or in the form of consultancies, 3) The design and implementation of research using existing and new REAMs: RREAL leads funding applications and studies to implement and evaluate existing approaches to rapid research and experiment with new methodologies.
