Full Job Description

As part of Group Living, you will work as a team of 3 support staff providing consistent support to 3-5 young care leavers. The young people will all be 16-18-year-olds on their journey to independence. Each day will be different, but the end goal will always be the same, to ensure our young people are ready to move into their own flat have the skills and emotional resilience to live independently and become a part of their local community. Using our ASDAN modules to help guide our young people through Finance and budgeting, tenancy support, personal development, health and wellbeing, healthy eating and race relationships and culture. This property will benefit from an employee who has experience with Asylum., updating risk assessments to supporting your young people to their meetings.

The young people are at the heart of everything you will do day to day from, You will need to be resilient but also able to empathise without judgement. You will need to have good interpersonal skills, must be able to resolve issues and have good resilience skills as well as be a good problem solver. You also need to be IT literate, as we need to produce daily and monthly reports for each of the young people, but most importantly, you need to have a passion for working and supporting young people on their transition from childhood and adulthood too independence.

You will also get a sleep rate of £71.28. You will do approximately 10 shifts per month.

To be successful in this role these are the essential skills needed:

· Experience working with young people

· Able to work independently.

· IT literate

· Good interpersonal skills

· Drivers are desirable but not essential.

· Work the shift pattern of 2 in 4 off, flexible, working on bank holidays etc.
