Full Job Description

Bidfresh Limited are seeking to appoint a Senior Administrator and Team Leader within our National team to support our seafood, meat and produce divisions. We are the largest and most well reputed supplier of fish and seafood across the UK, and Scotland's oldest traditional catering butcher.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision and ongoing training of our growing administrative support team, ensuring internal company processes and customer contracted expectations are met. This will include, but is not limited to, creating customer trading accounts, maintaining product information, implementing customer agreed pricing, facilitating electronic trading between ourselves and our customers, and dealing with customer and internal team queries.

Whilst you will occupy a key role within our administrative team based in Colchester, you will be also be part of our wider national team covering 11 delivery locations across the UK. You should, for this reason, be comfortable with communication in person, email, phone and via Microsoft Teams.

Our business is subject to seasonal trends throughout the year that will increase the demands on the team. You must, therefore, be able to adjust to time pressured periods and be self-motivated. Working hours are 8am until 4pm Monday to Friday, although some flexibility will be required. You will be provided with a company laptop and mobile phone.

Duties:

  • Processing Data on internal ERP systems with speed, accuracy and responsiveness

  • Working with varied customer own and 3rd party platforms (e.g. Procure Wizard, Saffron, Trade Simple)

  • Ensuring internal company processes are strictly followed in order to offer the highest level of customer service

  • Assisting with legal compliance in relation to the provision of allergen and nutritional data

  • Investigating and resolving queries and issues raised by our customers and internal stakeholders

  • Maintaining contracted trading terms and pricing on internal and external systems

  • Fostering team spirit and collaboration amongst members of the administrative team

  • Ensuring all tasks are managed and completed by team members within designated time frames

  • Deputising for the Head of Bidfresh Business Support to ensure clear and concise management of the team

    High level of proficiency and capability using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook

  • Experience creating and managing a successful team

  • Experience supervising hybrid workers

  • Knowledge of using a wide variety of customer ordering platforms and systems is preferred but not essential.

  • Ability to deal with time sensitive deadlines

  • Capable of conversing confidently at a high level

  • Proficiency in maintaining speed and accuracy on data entry
