Senior Solution Architect

Version 1 are a AWS Premier Consulting Partner, which is the highest tier of AWS Partnership available. You will be working for the AWS Practice which consists of some of the best Architects, DevOps Engineers and Consultants. The customer engagements are varied and the exposure to cutting-edge technologies is always present.
You will work in a mixture of teams to deliver solutions to some of the most high-profile customers in Europe. As a Senior Solution architect, you'll be implementing and driving large-scale cloud implementations on Amazon AWS.

Other duties include:

• Architecting and implementing cloud solutions for different applications, automating cloud operations and cloud deployments


• Assume responsibility for the architecture of solutions that leverage advanced analytics, data pipelines, web portals, statistical models, Machine Learning and AI, through our technology platform, Architecting and implementing cloud solutions for different applications, automating cloud operations and cloud deployments
  
  Draw on the strength and experience of a wider team of Solution Architects across Risk Capital, Enterprise Architecture


• Design and good communication skills is a must - explaining a complex solution to a non-technical audience, eliciting details of complex business processes from subject matter experts


• Experience building and deploying complex applications, particularly event-driven cloud-native applications, as well as integrating enterprise solutions


• Experience in Agile/DevOps, consulting with application development teams on same


• Cloud technology, ideally AWS including PaaS services such as S3, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, Docker, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, SageMaker etc.


• Understanding of distributed application design, patterns, and experience producing design diagrams and documenting standards, Security Clearance eligible. You must have the right to work in the United Kingdom or Northern Ireland and have been resident in the United Kingdom or Northern Ireland for 5 or more consecutive years


• Experience as a Solution Architect or similar


• Knowledge of the AWS Well Architected Framework


• Linux (RHEL, Centos) and Bash


• Practical application of DevOps and DevSecOps methodologies, Assume responsibility for the architecture of solutions that leverage advanced analytics, data pipelines, web portals, statistical models, Machine Learning and AI, through our technology platform
