Full Job Description

The Maximising Independence Service (MIS) is focused on early resolution, prevention and promoting independence and wellbeing. The aim of the service is to help people to maximise their independence as much as possible by providing information, advice and guidance, setting short-term goals and identifying support to achieve those goals. As a Service Advisor within the North Team covering Bassetlaw and Newark area, you will be responsible for providing prompt and effective information and advice to support the current functions and service delivery of the Maximising Independence Service to positively represent the department to the public and external agencies.

An awareness of Social Care legislation and national/local policies and procedures is required, along with a high level of personal drive and commitment. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills are essential as you will be communicating with multi-professionals across the system. You will have a high level of personal drive and commitment to excellent customer care. You will have an ability to make decisions and solve problems to meet operational targets involving devising solutions and prioritising resources available. You will work in a manner that puts people at the heart of everything you do, and which empowers people and supports their independence.
