Full Job Description

As a Sports & Fitness Coordinator, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and delivering a high-quality gym, wellbeing, and sports programme aimed at re-engagement and development of community members and gym users. The coordinator will play a key role in supporting income generation, member retention, and overall member satisfaction.

This is an important role in which you will:

  • Develop and Manage Programmes: Create, implement and deliver a diverse range of sports, fitness, and wellbeing programs tailored to the needs of youth and adult members.

  • Lead and Support Staff: Oversee and manage the performance of fitness instructors and sports coaches, ensuring high-quality delivery of services and programmes while conducting regular 1-2-1's, team meetings and apraisals.

  • Maintain Facilities and Safety Standards: Ensure all gym and sports equipment and facilities are maintained at the highest standards, adhere to health and safety policies, and promote safeguarding practices to ensure the well-being of all members.

  • Work across the week including evenings and weekends

    Programme Development Skills: Experience in designing and delivering comprehensive sports and fitness programmes, with a strong understanding of community needs and the ability to tailor programmes for diverse age groups and fitness levels.

  • Operational and Safety Knowledge: Experience maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, along with a keen awareness of safeguarding practices to protect vulnerable individuals.

  • Induction and Training Expertise: Ability to develop and conduct comprehensive gym inductions and ongoing training programmes for new and existing members, ensuring they are well-informed about safety practices and equipment use.
