Spray Painter - Bespoke Kitchens

We are seeking a skilled Spray Painter to join our team at KCM Kitchens Ltd. As a Spray Painter, you will play a crucial role in applying high-quality finishes to our bespoke kitchen products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals to deliver exceptional results.,

• Surface Preparation: Prepare kitchen components and surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning, and masking as necessary to ensure a smooth and flawless finish.


• Paint Application: Utilise spray painting equipment to apply primers, paints, stains, pastes, oils, and clear coatings to kitchen cabinets, doors, panels, and other components according to specifications.


• Colour Matching: Ensure accurate colour matching and consistency of supplied paints to meet design requirements and maintain brand standards.


• Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of painted surfaces to identify any imperfections, such as runs, sags, or uneven coverage, and make necessary adjustments to achieve a flawless finish.


• Procurement: Work closely with suppliers to ensure all essential consumables are readily available, and paint batches match within accepted tolerances.


• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on spray painting equipment to ensure proper functioning, prevent downtime, and ensure consistent and high quality application of coatings.


• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  
  Experience: Proven experience as a Spray Painter in a similar manufacturing environment, preferably within the kitchen or furniture industry.


• Technical Skills: Proficiency in spray painting techniques, including surface preparation, color mixing, and application. Experience with HVLP (high volume, low pressure) spray guns, and airless spray pumps, is desirable. Experience using Water based, Melamine based, Acid Cat, and PU coatings.


• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a keen eye for quality to achieve impeccable finishes.


• Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments.


• Adaptability: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.


• Safety Consciousness: Commitment to following safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.


• Job Spec Processing: Ability to interpret and process job spec sheets to ensure accurate, Right First Time colour application.
