Full Job Description

  • Safeguarding children is the responsibility of all members of Jo Study English Academy staff.

  • Organising and leading engaging, progressive activity sessions for the social programme attended by group of students.

  • Supervising students both on sites and off sites.

  • Liaising with the Centre Manager and your co-worker and taking groups of students to coach them in this area.

  • Assisting with other extra social programmes when necessary.

  • Attending meetings as necessary.

  • Following the agreed disciplinary guidelines.

  • Acquainting yourself with the social programme in detail by having a general picture.

  • Being a leader throughout the Sports and Recreation/ Academy programme in the afternoons and evenings.

  • Assisting with the evening and weekend full-day excursions in accordance with an agreed rota.

  • Assisting in morning call and nights-out, as agreed on the rota.

  • Returning all equipment to the appropriate place after using and reporting any damages or breakages to the centre manager.

  • Assisting with the greeting of new students, and with the departure of students, normally on Saturdays.

  • Acting as an excort on airport or station transfers as and when necessary.

  • Assisting in morning and evening duties in accordance with an agreed rota.

  • Assisting with the excursions programme in accordance with an agreed rota.

  • Lead and manage Junior Activity Leaders as a team.

  • You are to report anything as soon as possible to your line manager regarding any matters (real or apparent) of indiscipline, misbehaviour, major complaint, accidents, illness, or personal problems on the part of staff or students.

  • Writing students' reports in a timely manner and in advance of their departure from Jo Study English Academy.

  • Be punctual and always obligate the rules as agreed.


  • OTHER DUTIES
  • Assisting the Centre Manager whenever possible, including:

  • Actively take part in JO STUDY campus life.

  • Participate in the staff induction.

  • Always behave in a professional manner ensuring that your own conduct in front of students is of the highest standard, and that you set an example in your management role.

  • Experienced in sports and activities programmes

  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment

  • Coaching/ professional qualifications are desirable. If you possess a Certificate, please send us a copy.

  • Be well-equipped and prepared for the responsibility that comes with being Activity Lead.

  • Have prior experience with the supervision of children or a willingness to develop in this area.

  • A good team member but must be able to work on own initiative.

  • Use of IT packages including, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Ecxel.
