Full Job Description

We are looking for people with an experience in Learning Disability support.

Provide person-centred support towards independence by providing a therapeutic, structured service consistent with individual preferences and abilities through facilitation of engagement in social interactions and community activities.

The person supported may only be supported by a female, therefore we can only consider females for this role. But, we do have other roles that can be applied for.

Our Support Worker will:

  • To assist in the provision of high quality person-centred approach to support independence and meet individual needs of each client.

  • Work as part of a team and lone working and remain awake throughout the shift, pay attention and be alert at all times

  • To assist clients to retain their dignity and individuality and involved in the general activities of the home.

  • To promote and maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, staff members and visitors.

  • To support Clients during the night with Personal and Health needs as required

  • Pay particular attention to assisting clients who have limited mobility, or physical, learning difficulties making the best use of aids provided.

  • Observe support planning needs for clients and completed daily records as instructed and in line with the company's policies and procedures

  • Report on well-being of clients and follow support plans, completing daily records as instructed.

    Experience or desire to work with vulnerable individuals of various complex needs.

  • Experience of Health and Social Care would be an advantage but not essential

  • A person-centre approach with support

  • Ability to work as a part of team

  • Ability to plan for yourself and others

  • Manage time effectively, prioritising workloads

  • Ability to complete written notes

  • IT literate and confident to use IT for record keeping
