Full Job Description

BFT Mastclimbing are delighted to appoint a Welder to join their expanding team and be responsible for joining metal parts, and filling seams and holes of metal components. They will need to follow sketches and specifications, as well as inspect equipment and structures. They must follow and maintain knowledge of safety protocol.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and will hold relevant Welder or Welding Fabricator certifications. They will have attention to detail, manual dexterity, physical strength, physical stamina. They must be committed to Health & Safety as well as to delivering high quality work. Must be good at managing their own time and using their initiative. Should also be willing to learn.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

· Follow design sketches and specifications.

· Inspect equipment and structures.

· Follow and maintain knowledge of safety protocol.

· Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.

· Weld small and large components such as brackets and frames, handrails, decks.

· Weld all types of metal.

· Trim metal components using grinder.

· Use specialised machinery for industrial welding.

· Use specialised machinery for specific tasks such as cutting/saw and drilling.

· Maintain and repair all machinery to keep in good order.

The successful candidate will be expected to follow strict safety regulations and have up to date knowledge of current health and safety practises as well as maintaining relevant risk assessments.
