Full Job Description

Day to day duties will involve:

  • General M.I.G and ARC wedling practices

  • Understanding and reading technical drawings

  • Assembling components from jigs

  • Quality checking and documentation

  • Health and safety practices

  • Fabrication of small and large components

  • Operation and setup of machines that assist fabricators

  • Understanding and implementation of weld procedures

  • Comply with Health and Safety policies

    This is a level 2 Welding apprenticeship (General welder (arc processes)), delivered over a period of 2 years.

    The apprentice will attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services, in Aldridge WS9 8UG, 1 day per week during the training.

    Potential for a full-time position after successful completion of the apprenticeship, with progression within the company dependent on good attendance and commitment., Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Number skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience, Hobby/interest in engineering, GCSE or equivalent English & Maths (Grade 9-4) Essential

    Staffordshire Fabrications is home to a highly capable fabrication facility, which uses careful planning and continuous investment to maximise productivity without compromising on quality. We have large and flexible workspaces, perfect for a wide variety of specialist fabrication projects that will meet any client requirements you may have. Our workshops are fully serviced and equipped with overhead and jib cranes which allow us to build parts of up to 10,000kg and large fabrications of up to 25 metres.
